Mr. Ronald Keith Brooks, I, age 72 of Tallapoosa, GA, passed away Friday, May 23, 2014. He was born January 27, 1942 in Tallapoosa, GA to the late Howard and Mildred Mabry Brooks. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Brooks.

Ronnie Brooks had served in the ministry for 50 years. Many of those years were by his father's side at Faith Tabernacle. He served five years at The Carrollton Assembly of God, 20 years at The Tallapoosa Assembly of God, and 6 years at New Life Center Pentecostal Church. His passion was seeing souls saved. His last request was, "Lord, let me touch one more life." He was an Eagle Scout, as well as scout leader for many years. Ronnie received the "God and Country" Award in 1958.

Mr. Brooks is survived by his wife of 53 years, Brenda Bell Brooks; daughter, Kellie Roberts of Tallapoosa; son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Ammie Brooks of Lincoln, AL; brother and sister-in-law, David and Patricia Brooks of Newnan; sister-in-law, Maryann Brooks of Rock Hill, SC; grandchildren, Cassie Bullock, Alex Roberts, Paige and Ross Massey, Brenden, Brice, Callen, and Colton Brooks; and great-grandchildren, Cooper Massey and Grant Lepard.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 25, 2015 at 2:00 PM from Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phil Smitherman. Music will be provided by Linda McLarty, Corinne Windom, and Jana Layton. Pallbearers serving will be Rodney and Scott McClure, Joey Entrekin, Richard and Mark Brooks, and Ross Massey.

Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery with Bagpipes.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, May 24, 2014 between the hours of 4:00 and 7:00 PM.

Brenda and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Ronnie was a great person who played a big part in many lives, Johnathan(my son) was one of those people that Ronnie had a big impact on. I am very thankful for that. May God comfort you and if I can do anything please let me know. I love you all.

So sorry to hear of Ronnie's passing. Brenda was a friend and co-worker many years ago at Arrow Shirt Company in Bremen. We will keep the family in our prayers.

We are all so blessed to have known this great servant of our Lord. He has touched countless lives through the years and will never be forgotten. Ronnie and I shared many good times going thru school together, I considered him one of my best friends. He was a role model, a good family man and A very good friend. I will always remember him fondly. I am saddened by his passing.
