Mrs. Glenda Smith Beasley, age 70, of 131 Faye St., Tallapoosa, GA, passed away, April 24, 2012. Mrs. Beasley was born April 2, 1942 to the late Robert “Bob” and Lucille Finley Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Beasley.

She was a member of Mt. Zion West Baptist Church; loved watching TV and doting on her grandchildren.

Surviving Mrs. Beasley is her daughter and son in law, Donna and Brian Crook of Hampton, TN; brother and sister in law, Harold and Alma Jane Smith of Tallapoosa; grandchildren, Justin Crook, Nathaniel Crook, Matthew Crook, Andrew Crook, Amber Crook, Jacob Crook, Brittiney Crook and Lizzy Crook; great-grandchildren, Jaxon Crook and JoAnna Crook.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 27, 2011 at 1:00 PM from Mt. Zion West Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Galloway and Brian Crook officiating. Music will be provided by Pam Smith McElroy and Jimmy Thrower. Pallbearers serving will be Eddie Mixon, Mike Cummings, Michael Coggins, Rusty Kennedy, Rex Kennedy and Barry King.

Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Miller Funeral Home Thursday, April 26 from 6:00 – 9:00 PM.
