Bro. Homer Hulsey, age 63, of 3140 Providence Church Rd, Tallapoosa, GA, passed away May 7, 2012. Mr. Hulsey was born May 9, 1948 to the late Aaron Cecil and Dorothy Williams Hulsey.

Brother Homer was the pastor of various churches for over 40 years. He was the owner of Hulsey Grave Service in Tallapoosa and a member of Providence Baptist Church.

Surviving Bro. Homer is his wife of 44 years, Gloria Kiker Hulsey, children, Shannon Hulsey, Carolyn Cochran and Bobby and Leanne Hulsey all of Tallapoosa; grandchildren, Joshua and Callie Hulsey, Jonathan Hulsey, Lindsey Hulsey, Dustin Sims and Hunter Ellis; and his siblings, Brenda and Donnie Johnson, Angela Hulsey, Jerry and Marvene Hulsey and Harold and Becky Hulsey all of Tallapoosa; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on his birthday, May 9, 2012 at 2:00 PM from Providence Baptist Church with Rev. David Ginn, Rev. Wayne Pike, Rev. Ronnie “Bud” Day and Dr. Mason Bush and Rev. Ralph Lipscomb officiating. Music will be provided by Brant Howell, Jennifer Johnson, Londa Bush and the Providence Church Choir. Pallbearers serving will be Andy Johnson, Charles Johnson, Duane Smith, Ray Hulsey, Donnie Ridley, Robert Day and Charles Rayburn. Honorary pallbearers will be David Johnson, Cecil Roberts, Ajax Warren, Rickey Griffith and Bro. Chester Pesnell. Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery.

His family will receive friends, Tuesday, May 8, 2012 from 5:00 till 9:00 PM. Visitation will be held at Providence Church’s Family Life Center – located beside the church.
