Mrs. Lorene Elizabeth Clegg, age 93, of 4238 Steadman Rd., Tallapoosa, GA, passed away Monday, May 28, 2012. Mrs. Clegg was born on May 25, 1919 in Tangelwood, TX to the late Thomas and Cynthia Kelly Pounders. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Woodrow Wilson Pack, Edmond Miller, and Clifford Clegg; daughter, Rebecca Anderson; sister, Lillian Harrison; and brother, Edward Pounders.

Mrs. Clegg is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Bivin Dunklin of Tallapoosa; step-daughters, Juna Reynolds of Vane, TX and Rita Eason of Grand Prairie, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Milton and Geri Pack of Bryan, TX; son-in-law, Gene Anderson of Weatherford, TX; eleven grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; sister, Marie Doan of Grass Valley, CA; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Clegg will be conducted on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 2:00 PM from Steadman Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Robinson officiating. She will lie in state at the church from 1:30 PM until the funeral hour. Music will be provided by Katie Williams. Pallbearers serving will be Clifford Dunklin, Douglas Dunklin, Jacques Dunklin, James Hughes, and Donald Johnson.

Interment will follow in Steadman Baptist Church Cemetery.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
