Mr. James Edwin Swafford, age 73, of 316 Largent Trail, Tallapoosa, GA, passed away March 3, 2013. Mr. Swafford was born February 1, 1940 in Cedartown to the late Iowan Clint and Lela Littles Swafford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty R. Swafford.

Mr. Swafford was a retired truck driver. He attended Pleasant Hill Full Gospel Church in Tallapoosa. He enjoyed yard work and the Georgia Bulldogs.

He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Jamie and Keith Bailey of Woodland, AL, Cyndi and Buddy Jones of Carrollton, GA, Amanda and Corey Helms of Warner Robbins, GA, Linda and Steve Durant of Vernon Center, NY; sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Josie Swafford of Tallapoosa, Greg and Linda Swafford of Anniston, AL, and James and Tina Swafford of Tallapoosa; brother and sister-in-law, Seals and Myrtice Swafford of Cedartown, GA; and sisters and brother-in-law, Nancy Swafford, Martha and William Mobley, and Pat and Spencer Brazier, all of Cedartown.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 8, 2013 at 1:00 PM from the Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jamie Alexander and Rev. Darrell Brazier officiating. Music will be provided by Lawrence Robinson. Pallbearers serving will be Greg Swafford, Mark Swafford, Buddy Jones, Joseph Evans, Dusty Swafford, and Keith Bailey. Honorary pallbearers will be Pierce Swafford and Jeremy Redding.

Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Full Gospel Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, March 7, 2013, between the hours of 6:00 and 9:00 PM.
